Chocolate Project Week
Today was the first day of our Chocolate Project! The children worked really hard with their team today to conduct market research, display their results and choose a name and ingredients for their brand new chocolate bar. This afternoon, they started working on a storyboard for their TV advert, which they will film later this week.

English Lesson 06/06/19
Today in English we completed a conscience alley, where the children had to persuade our "Charlie Bucket" whether he should take the 50p that he finds in the street or not... In the end, it was decided that the side arguing to take the 50p were more persuasive!

Times Tables 05/06/19
This year, we are taking part in the national voluntary pilot for the Multiplication Check, which we shall be completing in a few weeks. This is a pilot for the check that will become compulsory for Year 4 children next year. Whilst we practise times tables daily in class, it would really benefit the children to practise them at home over the coming weeks. For any more information about the Multiplication Check, please visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/multiplication-tables-check-development-process#national-voluntary-pilot

We had a fantastic time in Castleton last week! We took part in lots of fun activities including archery, fencing, orienteering and a trip down a cavern. I am so proud of all of the Year 4 and Year 3 children that came with us. They were all so responsible and were a real credit to the school - well done everyone!
