Welcome
Welcome to Gorseybrigg Primary School and Nursery.
We hope you enjoy visiting our website and learning about our school.
Our aim is to provide a calm and happy space where children receive an excellent education, develop their imaginations and learn care and compassion. Our experienced, highly-qualified and dedicated team works with kindness to set clear expectations, provide creative learning experiences and teach children to care for each other and their environment. Our pupils make excellent progress and their individual talents are nurtured and celebrated.
Reading is the beating heart of Gorseybrigg and we are determined that every child has the opportunity to experience outstanding literature and develop a love for books. We also believe that outdoor learning at all ages is crucial for wellbeing and enjoyment and offer Forest Schools and a range of outdoor experiences throughout the year and in all weathers! A wealth of extra-curricular activities including music, sport, drama, arts and crafts and residential trips complement our high academic standards. We actively encourage our pupils to express their opinions and both our Eco and School Councils are very active and involved in the changes and improvements we make, including an Eco Garden and Serenity Square, a quiet area for sitting and reading.
Please get in touch if you have any questions, would like to visit us or are interested in your child attending our school or nursery. We look forward to meeting you.
